PVC sheet production process flow

When we produce PVC sheets, we have to follow a step-by-step process: First of all, we need to prepare all the raw materials such as PVC resin, plasticizers, and stabilizers. Then, we mix them together in the prescribed proportion. The combination of these raw materials cannot be careless; it directly affects the quality of the final product.

Next,  we send the pre-treated raw materials into the extruder. Through the heating of the machine and the rotation of the screw, the raw materials are extruded into plastic sheets of a certain thickness. This step requires close monitoring of the extrusion speed and temperature; otherwise, uneven thicknesses are likely to occur.

After that, we put the processed raw materials into the extruder. With the machine heating up and the screw rotating, the raw materials can be extruded into plastic sheets of a certain thickness. At this point, we need to pay close attention. The extrusion temperature and speed must be appropriate; otherwise, the thickness of the sheet will vary, which will cause problems.

The freshly extruded PVC sheet is still hot. We need to immediately send it into the cooling device. Usually, we use a water tank to quickly cool it down and make it solidify. The speed of cooling also has its say. If it's not done properly, it will affect the performance of the sheet.

The cooled sheet can then be sent to the cutting machine. We will cut it into the specific length and width as required. The dimensions must be accurate during the cutting process; otherwise, there will be problems when using it.

After cutting, we still need to handle the surface of the sheet, such as using a machine to polish it to make it smoother, or spraying varnish to make the appearance more attractive. This step can make the product more appealing and more durable.

After the surface treatment is completed, we need to check the quality. We should inspect whether there are any defects in the appearance, whether the dimensions are correct, and whether the physical properties meet the standards. We must ensure that the PVC sheet produced is of qualified quality.

Finally, the qualified sheets need to be packed, marked properly, and stored carefully. When storing them, be sure to prevent them from getting damp or being exposed to direct sunlight, as this could cause them to deteriorate.
