·Screw: As the core component of the extruder, directly related to the application range and productivity of the extruder, usually made of high-strength corrosion-resistant alloy steel.
·Barrel: metal cylinder, usually used to withstand heat and pressure. Made of high degree, strong wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant alloy steel or composite steel tube lined with alloy steel. With the screw, the plastic can be crushed, softened, melted, plasticized, vented and compacted.
·Hopper: For storing and conveying plastic raw materials, bottom. A cut-off device is usually provided to adjust and cut off the material flow. A viewing hole and a calibration metering device are provided on the side.
·Head and mold: The head is composed of alloy steel inner sleeve and carbon steel jacket, which is equipped with forming mold. The function is to transform the rotating plastic melt into a parallel linear movement, uniformly and smoothly into the mold sleeve, and give the plastic the necessary molding pressure.
2. Transmission system:
The function is to drive the screw and supply the torque and speed required by the screw in the extrusion process, which is usually composed of the motor, the reducer and the bearing.
3. Heating and cooling system:
·Heating device: Usually use electric heating, divided into resistance. Heating and induction heating, heating pieces are installed in the fuselage, neck, head parts. The role is to heat the plastic to the temperature required for process operation.
·Cooling device: To ensure that the plastic is in process requirements. The temperature range is set. Specifically, it is to eliminate the excess heat generated by the shear friction of the screw rotation to avoid the high temperature that makes the plastic decomposition, scorching or styling difficult. Cylinder cooling is divided into two kinds of water cooling and air cooling, generally small and medium-sized extruder air cooling is more suitable, large use of water cooling or two forms of combined cooling: screw cooling mainly uses central water cooling to increase the solid conveying rate of materials, stabilize the amount of glue, while improving product quality; However, the cooling at the hopper is to strengthen the conveying effect of solid materials, prevent the plastic particles from sticking and blocking the material port due to temperature rise, and ensure the normal work of the transmission part.
4. Control system:
It is composed of electric cabinet and control panel to control and monitor the extruder.
5. Auxiliary system:
Including feeding system, lubricating oil system, vacuum system. System, soft water system, etc., these systems ensure the normal operation of the extruder and the quality of the product.
These systems and components work together to enable plastic extruders to efficiently and accurately process plastic raw materials into plastic products of various shapes and sizes.
